Doing any in-house electro fixings requires not so much knowledge but needs concentration and following some fundamental energoproekt rules.
It is important to be aware of your local regulations regarding electrical repairs.
In many communities, there are limitations on the work an unlicensed person may do… even the owner of the home. There are also differences made between what an unlicensed homeowner can do and what an unqualified tradesman can do.
There are also distinctions made within kinds of electrical work. Appliance setting-up, for example, is often not considered banned energoprojects if the original wiring and connection was made by a licensed master.
Regional codes exist because of and are often based on local concerns. Densely populated areas, such as big cities, strive to have electrical codes much limiting homeowner electrical interventions because errors can endanger hundreds or thousands of people! Community codes are often less stringent, making possible more owner flexibility and involvement in the process. Local environmental situation such as the chance of earthquakes, heavy T-storms or cyclones, the level of the water table, amount of rainfall and general humidity, soil structure, and the types of construction materials used|available also influence the local electrical code.
Of all the repairs that you may do around your home, the most potentially devastating mistakes are in faulty electro-wiring! Countless house damages are caused by unlawful wiring techniques, substitutive materials, cheap extension cords, or broken electrical appliances. The problem and the trap lies in the apparent simplicity of electrical repairs. Small mistakes can cause quick and bad results. Poor wiring skills can cause shock hazards that may not be evident till the accident happens.
Quality|Best electrical activities|works depends on consistency and reliability. That is why there is an electrical code, so everybody is clear on the right and incorrect way to perform an electrical wiring and tuning. If every household was wired according to a random standard, how could anyone without paranormal abilities figure out how to troubleshoot a circuit?
We are not trying to prevent you from educating and increasing your skills. We wouldn’t have little chance of doing it, anycase. But you should know by now that we are a strong advocate of independence and self-reliance. But if one person destroyed his house down because he was thinking that he could do that electrical job, and was not sufficiently OK to do the job|task right… well, that is not what we had in mind when started this energoproject. We have seen some electrical wiring disasters throughout Russia, and major share|most were undertaken by homeowners who thought that doing electrical wiring|work was no more worthy of care than sweeping the backyard!
